The People's Detox This is a weekly clinic that offers detox acupuncture and acupressure to folks dealing with symptoms of substance withdrawal, PTSD, or are in need of general mental health support.
The People's Detox offers a standardized ear acupuncture protocol known as the NADA protocol to support individuals seeking alternative treatments options for substance use withdrawal, PTSD, and mental health conditions. NADA stands for the National Association for Detox Acupuncture which was born out of the efforts of Dr Mutulu Shakur and the Young Lords who used the protocol to mitigate the 1970's New York heroin epidemic. It has been clinically proven to be extremely effective in overcoming addiction and we are proud to be offering this service every Monday at the People's House in West Oakland.
